Hare Krishna, Dear Gurudeva!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada & All glories to you.

Please accept our humble obeisances. (PAOHO)

As of every two weeks:

* Bulletin is now upload on Facebook (English & Spanish), it is also in Google Groups (English & Spanish) as listed at: http://www.jayarama.us/hello.htm

Hare Krishna. I hope you are in good health. I'm doing well, despite so many years with medicine. I think the body is holding up quite well, though I don't know for how long. The Lord is very merciful with us.

Our sadhana is ok. Always trying to be fixed in finishing 16 rounds and reading SB before classes.

Things at school are ok. Due to the transport stoppage, we are having some virtual classes. It is kind of difficult with kids because they get distracted easily.

The tutor who took responsibility for my previous group resigned 2 weeks ago. Parents from my previous group asked the school that I be the tutor. I accepted until new tutor is found. So now I have two groups, first and seventh grade. For 7th grade, I am basically giving some classes and organising. Let see how this new adventure comes.

HpS - Such fortunate kids! Are any of them special kids sent to you like Krsna became the student of Sandipani Muni???

Thanks a lot for your infinite mercy

Reporte

Greetings Guru Maharaj, I hope this letter finds you well.

I am writing to tell you a little about my life today.

The most important thing in my life is the preaching work that we are doing, so I am going to write to you about it.

A little over a year ago we began to share Krishna consciousness through zoom and we have had very good acceptance from people.

Currently approximately 30 people participate in different activities that we offer.

On Tuesdays we perform 1 hour of chanting the maha mantra, on Thursdays we carry out an introductory course to bhakti yoga (bhagavad gita among other texts), on Fridays we also carry out 1 hour of chanting the maha mantra, and on Sundays we carry out readings from Srimad Bhagavatam.

We want to add mondays

to read the Krishna Book,

but we are adding activities gradually as we also have to balance preaching with work.

It is impressive how every time we do an activity about Krishna with people we are filled with energy and joy.

Not long ago we decided to live closer to the city,

since

most of the participants

in our community

are from there,

so we are also holding face-to-face meetings once a month for now. We hope that with time we can have a large space to invite more people. I ask for your good wishes so that we can continue with this project.

Thank you very much for reading, I wish you all good fortune in your travels.

HpS - Hare Krsna. Thank you. We are losing our minds. Getting a new mind, at 74-years old. You also will be 74-years old soon... Your personality has slipped into oblivion for us!! You are from Spain? Chile? You came to see us once with Jara-mara...??

Your Sankirtan is great. Let it grow!

Poetic Summary of SBhag 10.20

2 years, 12 months ago by balabhadra dasa in Special Category B

Hare Krishna Maharaja, attached to this letter is a Poetic Summary of the Srimad Bhagavatam 10 Canto Chapter. It was authored by Mother Tulasi Krishna dasi, who in turn has me in turn to present to you; and you in your own turn have instructed me to present it here for everyone's benefit. Her poem is cited below.

Yls, Bbd

HpS - ASA - Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please also thank, thank, thank Tulasi. How is here Sankirtan?

Hare Krishna,

Dandavats. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

This is a poetic summary of the 20th chapter of Krsna book.

Please offer this to Maharaj when you host him at your place. I hope he enjoys it.

Thank you,

Tulasi

20: The Rainy Season and Autumn in Vrindavan

As the season befell them, and the rain came down on Vrindavan's sacred lands,

Residents admired the rumbling thunder and lightning's outstretched hands.

The sacred storms and showers that fell replenished all life in that place.

The lush green forest with its flowers and creepers was a most inviting space.

After so many months of drinking up water, the clouds were about to burst.

It was time now for the yearly deluge which would quench once again the Earth's thirst.

Dark clouds covered the sky like illusion covers the soul.

As illumination of varied degrees can urge one towards spiritual goals.

The merciful clouds gave of themselves for the benefit of the whole.

Just as the kind-hearted givers give for the betterment of all souls.

In the evening twilight, glowworms were seen, but not so much the clouds.

As in Kali Yuga illusion's showcased, while the truth is kept under a shroud.

Silent frogs came to life and croaked important speeches.

As Brahmans complete their dutiful chores and morning's silence finally breaches.

A slumberous yuga, when all are asleep, Kali keeps us still.

But the Acarya's call has the depth and sway to reveal the Lord's good will.

A palate exploded and colored the Earth with green, white, and reddish hues,

Like a person who suddenly stumbles on wealth and buys all new clothes and shoes.

Abundant fields gave such grains to the prudent farmers who'd done the planting.

But for those who failed to sow good seeds, the remorse was disenchanting.

All the beings became radiant too, even more than they were before.

Just as a devotee reveals his true beauty by engaging in service to the Lord.

Where rivers met oceans, the waters churned and there became great agitation.

Like the fickle mind of the immature yogi attached to sense gratification.

The mountains withstood torrents of rain and were unphased by the pelting blasts.

As the devotee whose mind is absorbed in the Lord can remain peaceful when danger attacks.

Indra's bow of many colors appeared and stretched across the sky.

No strings attached to this bow though, the same rules don't apply.

Just as when the Lord appears to dance and play in this scene,

He is untouched by any material element, although He may be seen.

The gleaming moon is hidden by clouds that dull its radiant shine.

As the ego covers the living being, making its true essence hard to find.

The peacocks cried out at the sight of the clouds and danced in jubilation.

As devotees react to the joy that they feel in saintly association.

When the forest was full with ripe fruits and flowers, and cool waters flowed in the streams,

Krsna and Balaram with their cows came along and perfected the woodland scene.

The cows were slow with their heavy milk bags, but hurried at Krsna's yell.

Their udders were wet with affection for him, and love-soaked milk drops fell.

Krsna saw the village girls; great trees and the honey they gave.

They heard the noises of flowing waterfalls, and took lunch within a cave.

Home cooked meals were shared among them until all were satisfied.

Krsna sat on a stone to eat lunch, with the peaceful water nearby.

He watched His cows and friends alike, and seeing them all so pleased,

He offered respect to the rainy season, though it came from His own potency.

When autumn arrived the sky became clear, the winds were much more serene.

The purity of the waters restored, they appeared to be clear and clean.

Just as the minds of fallen yogis can become once again purified,

When reengaged in devotional service, one's impurities subside.

The clouds shone forth with great effulgence, having given up all they possessed,

Like the glowing saints truly free from sin, who emanate an angelic essence.

The mountains withheld the gushing waters, and sometimes let them flow.

As experts in transcendental knowledge only sometimes let others know.

The oceans and lakes became so still, their silence was deeply felt.

As the stillness of sages whose powerful mantras can make even cold stones melt.

Farmers construct walls around crops to keep nourishing waters in.

As the sincere yogi retracts his senses, regaining control again.

The autumn moon relieved the poor creatures who'd suffered under the sun.

As Mukunda cools the gopi's burning hearts when the separation is finally done.

The autumn sun shone bright in the sky, illuminating all the land,

As only the pure spiritual consciousness of one in true knowledge can.

The winds were neither hot nor cold, and relieved the suffering,

Of all but the gopis who still felt the pain of separation's brutal sting.

In all the towns and villages great festivities were held.

The atmosphere was filled with colors, transcendent sounds and smells.

Thus the earth shone brightly as the autumn season came,

Krsna and Balaram beautified the land, Their presence one and the same.

pamho, AGtSP!

A copy of our current media update for you Maharaja:

Good Morning from High Springs, Florida, the Hippie Haven for lost cool wannabe’s, though seriously this is not what I’ve contended, regardless, Maharaja Hanumat Presaka Swami did “coin” the vibes of said city...a grain wisdom is at the core.

First “official” day as a resident in the Sunshine state and still adjusting to our time change, a perfect moment to write on current events… completely bewildered. Of course in my meanderings this is par for the course, fortunately I’ve played before and know that “Bagger Vance” has my back.

Actually, I’m also writing to break-in a gifted HP Elite X2 tablet/ laptop from Gopinatha Desai. Was a surprise just before departure. Gopinatha Prabhu was the person who requested a semi-concealed camera mount and tablet enclosure for the Vyasasana at the Houston Temple and we managed to get this done. What was more precarious time-wise was the 2 surprise requests(RQ,s): a Free Library Box for the book distributors, and Radharani’s Flower Bouquet armature for the Pujari’s. (please note Photo’s)

Since these RQ’s were for our outstanding devotional congregation and Loving Deities, I had to power through on these and have to thank my wife, Subhra, for her patience. We had 7 years of newly accumulated garbage, excuse me, I mean essential treasures and paraphernalia to pack in the “PODS,” shipping container we had delivered. I had not even sorted through my own closet, let alone breakdown my makeshift shop, lot’s to juggle and move! My next move will be with a back-pack and 2 duffle-bags.

Fortunately, all projects went smoothly and the Pods shipping driver came at the latest scheduled time. Lashed down tall stacks of boxes, laid out various school work boxes and hung a mattress, weed-eater and inversion rack off the framing beams, this Pod was loaded almost to the max. Throw in a dual-wheeled wheel barrow, 2 buckets of landscaping rocks and loose tarps and we’re stuffed. Inched the door closed and locked it up. It’s going to be real interesting when we open it next week.

Continuing our saga of our serendipitous-sashay, current dilemma’s with WinStream internet here has been real, “real.” It’s been 3 days of representatives jumping with song and dance just to get our temporary hold off our service… still waiting, 2nd time we’ve been told everything will be fixed by 7pm. Right! We shall see. Sad thing is how much technology has over run our lives in the “Modern” parts of the World. The convenience has a price and they know how to charge for it. We may post this devious document yet. (WinStream finally came through, left and right hands are now in profound unity)

Watching the (needed) rain pour down while Subhra pouts about the possible farmers market closure. Nice shower, keeping the Sunshine state hydrated, for now, the rains have ceased, usual on and off cycles here...fluctuating and calcitrant, such is the precise fickleness of Mother Nature.

Our Farmers have persevered the rain, we’re still going to procure the finest organics from High Springs locals, such honorable horticulture we may offer. The plain living and high thinking of our cultivators of Earth have the original place of our World right where it belongs… take nothing for granted.

More to share as time permits, we are now functioning as citizens here and know Sri Bhagavan has more plans to reveal…are you ready for the Lord’s spontaneity?

TB/BW - Hare Krsna!!! Is the Temple close. What is the community like?

Peter Brooke Ascends

Sripad Oscar N. graciously alerted us to departure of very great theater director Peter Brooke.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnn.com/style/amp/peter-brook-director-obit/index.html

He did a phenomenal 'Maha-bharata', which senior Iskcon preachers and academics greatly appreciated, and still use for their Sankirtan.

We will offer some Hari kirtan in front of his picture with hope for helping him navigate his present world.

Hare Krishna!

Please accept my humble obeisances!!

Maharaja, I hope you are having a fantastic time with your movie(s).

I'm still doing the morning program everyday, normally mangal in the temple and then the rest either at temple or home.

And 16/4/4 too.

Also, very slowly I am taking Spanish lessons on Duolingo. So maybe by 2029 I can say a sentence!! 😂

And my favorite part of the day now is the quick daily sun bath.

Also I'm listening more to Srila Prabhupada's books, and based on your recent comment from the Tava Pache Pache Friday lecture about over-collecting--- I'm also slowly giving away my extra things like books, paintings, etc.

My goal is to fit every thing into one room for now!

ASA - TB/BW - Very nice.

I quite often remember what you wrote in Twirl your beads--- (paraphrase) :

That which can be used in Krishna's service; remains.

I'm excited to see you this weekend (all day Saturday and a couple hours Sunday) in Houston! I'll be there with Arjuna Prabhu and Srinatha Krishna Prabhu.

I'm sure you are getting a lot of work done with Pablo?

HpS - Yes!!! You will like to meet him.

I'll be ready to "suit up and show up" when I get there! Although I'm not sure if this is the right metaphor, because of the lack of formal attire...

How are Monkey and Piggy?

HpS - Clever and fat.

Your happy to help servant,

Jaya Hari Das

Haribol!

Oh! I heard that now through July 2, all of the 9 planets are in alignment. I looked up to the sky one day and saw 5 planets lined up in a perfect arch!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Hare Krsna.
