Hare Krsna Querido Gurudev  espero usted se encuentre bien en este auspicioso día de ekadasi, gracias por Su última respuesta, la explicación que da Srila Prabhupada es tan clara y sencilla, eso de que Krsna es como el sol, y cuando le damos la espalda vemos una gran sombra, que ganas de escuchar algún dia ese aspecto mas profundo del que me habla. 

 Bueno, le escribo para contar  que me han asignado un nuevo servicio,  es el de organizar e inspirar a los devotos en la distribución de libros de todo el yatra. A pesar de que yo no tengo experiencia alguna en este servicio de ser " Lider", tengo la oportunidad de ser constante en salir todos los dias, y debido a que en general no se esta moviendo mucho la distribucion de libros aqui, se hace necesario que haya alguien que lo coordine. Por supuesto yo no tengo la cualificación para hacerlo pero acepté  porque tengo entendido que no estar cualificado no es una razón válida para rechazar un servicio, menos si es para la predica. Es por esto que acudo a Usted, ya que solo es posible por Su misericordia y bendiciones que yo podré hacer algo útil.  Su pureza es mi fuerza. 

Sin más que decir se despide Su aspirante a discípula y sirvienta Fernanda Leiva.

Hasta ahora, ya voy a cumplir dos meses seguidos en el servicio semana a semana de las guirnaldas, estoy yendo toda la semana al templo a darle reverencias a los maravillosos Goura-Nitay. Pero, de igual manera he estado con una mentalidad un poco baja, me cuesta mucho cantar las rondas, por favor deme su misericordia para poder hacerlo, sé que por la gracia de Krsna y Guru, todo se puede lograr.  
Sigo intentando compatibilizar la Universidad, con el servicio y la familia, hasta ahora todo va bien, menos eso que le comentaba más arriba. Mis compañeros son auspiciosos, de cierta manera, se interesan por Krsna, y pronto organizaremos una salida al templo! jaya! 

He estado pensando en comenzar una dieta vegana, sin ningún tipo de lácteo, qué opina sobre eso?

Mucho gusto conocerse.  Tom Brown de ASA aqui.  Necessita la azucar, lactos, y la grasa en la leche para alimentar el cerebrio de una manera fina si quiere pensar fina de sociologia. El arbol tiene suf. fruta para dar caridad, la vaca leche y ser humano sufienciente inteligencia para dar en caridad al arbol y la vaca.

No quiero quitarle más tiempo, espero que su salud ande bien, por favor cuídese mucho.

in one mounth the 17 of june we return to india, probably to make some videos about the 9 island of navadwip for the t.v of tamil, will be for the vijay t.v taht it is very famous there and in malasya indonesia, etc. will 60 programs 2 mounth in t.v
 we need your blessing to do this and serve the mission of sri Caitanya, so it is inspiring becouse his preaching, sankirtan pastimes were in south india and probably with this video the people of tamil will know better the glories of the Dham and who Sri Krsna and Sri Gauranga are.

i have one question about this famous sloka of the

SB 1.2.18

By regular attendance in classes on the Bhāgavatam and by rendering of service to the pure devotee, all that is troublesome to the heart is almost completely destroyed, and loving service unto the Personality of Godhead, who is praised with transcendental songs, is established as an irrevocable fact.

wich is the undertanding of ..."almost completely destroyed"...? how we continue cleaning and destroy the bad things in our hearts. a what it is referred to?

AGTSP    paoho.     ASA/HPS            Very nice.   I think it is refering to anartha nivrtti coming to nistha.     But some anarthas remain in subtle form until bhava.  it is like a piece of old.  you can wash and it is clean. but your have to melt it and boil it to get all the impurities out!

1. You're right, I am new to the Vedic calendar. However, I'm not new to naked eye astronomy which has been my favorite science since childhood.

2. I discovered these errors quite unexpectantly; moreover, I couldn't believe it myself that so many people could miss this but now I understand why. 

3. First off, I was puzzled that the particulars of the Lord's birth in Phalgun, Sakabda 1507 didn't seem reflected consistently by our Vaisnava calendar. Second, it wasn't until I could understand the present method of calculation that I was confident of my conclusions. The present method is the one followed by the Indian National Calender with respect to the national Hindu holidays. The present method of calculation makes sure that every lunar year begins after the vernal equinox (Mar 20/21), instead of simply following the astrological sign of Pisces to determine the start of the new year. In additon,  there is a strong sentiment in India amonsgt the so called educated to rid Indian of it's passion for astrology, so therefore, the equinox is favored over the sidereal Sun sign.

4. Next, the topic of the Hindu lunar calendar is very complex. So, it's very easy to see why anyone in Iskcon would miss this. Moreover, it's easy to see why the whole Vaisnava community chooses to accept the national dates. Afterall, who would want to buck the national standard; unless, of course, that person was absolutely sure of what they were doing. I'm becoming quite knowledgeable on this topic.  I have already spent 100's of hours research on this topic.

5. I have already pointed out that this change can be pinpointed to 1957 when the Indian government adopted and set the standard for the Saka calendar. Prior to that the Sri Caitanya Math determined the correct dates. Since any knowledgeable person knows about the precession of the equinox, it would be easy over time with each new generation of devotees to miss this point about the Lord's birthday and other errors regarding the lunar calendar.

6. Also, as a result of this enquiry, I have been able to completely cracked the mystery of the 27/28 nakshastras of the Vedas but I will go into this in the near future.. As I pointed out in the beginning, change will happen slowly and for some it will never happen. My plan is simply to present the facts and hope the reader will become educated on this topic.

7. In closing for now, it is amazing what this research has revealed to me about dating in the Vedas, etc.  Also, the astrology community doesn't really have a vested interest in this historical aspect. What they do works perfectly well for today's birthdates and horoscopes.

We`ll ask and chant endlessly to the Lord for your health.   We wish we could be of more help but India is far away.    Your constant commintment and self giving to Srila Prabhupada and his Sankirtan is boundless and awe inspiring.   We know in a couple of years you`ll be smelling the fragrance and solitude of a peaceful fully contemplative abode somewhere on this earth, India or the US.  Well diserved rest.    This time we didn`t get the Kapi Dhvaja on e mail so it took us longer to re-load on your mercy but here we are.   Things getting better.  We got a lap top deal from a devotee and plus all loaded with Srila Prabhupada`s  personal  verse dictaphone readings from  Bhagavatam, bhajans.etc   Incredible and you said it `Rama will give you back your computer``  and so He did, fully loaded !    LOTS  of  devotional stuff came in it.    We are findind more and more interesting the ASA  links and Library,  wow !   endless supply of post-modern Vedanta presentation on earth I believe.  We`ll continue reading and serching through it,  we can see lots of material to eventually use in any presentation,  web link,  sankirtana,  even story telling and graphic novel style  editions.  We`re currently learning about it .  We are creative writers and really appreciate creative Vaisnava educational material like yours.  It`s just a joy to read and watch.  

Musical group still strong, rehearsing a lot. We are hoping to get the maha mantra song recorded soon to send a link and pics.

ASA -  Oink!   Oink!    WHoop!    WHoop!                  finally we are writing, but now we have to go from Kolkata to Lake Town.  Its on the ouskirts of Kolkata. Everything here is old/new/crowded/hot-humid/noisey/cheap/big results... We are trying to orient to more more efficient work, that's all. Getting ready to change our body.
