Sadhana 2013

11 years, 5 months ago by chas d lind in Special Category B

Dear Maharaja Hanumat Presaka Swami,

please accept my obeisances, All Glories to Srila Prabhupada

This letter is in response to our Sadhana report and am happy to reply that everything is going perfectly well under my command. So much wealth do I have and I will gain more, my enemies will be killed and I am the enjoyer surrounded by aristocratic friends and relatives… now the rest of the story.

Sadhana 2013

Claims to 16 rounds are there but how many with care? About 20 years on the japa reins, still fighting with fingers & brains though they may flow, the mind rarely lets go. Moments we miss, till our hearts fill with bliss yet we continue to resist. This is where I’m at for now and glad that I’ve kept my vows, times are testing as ever, give up? Never… delay? Maybe too often, but my resilience refuses to soften.

Continuing with high-tech preaching though at times I may be over-reaching, the glowing screens and fanatic gleans, half the time the truth isn’t seen. So, honing my dull intellect I return to the keyboard and reflect… what it is to sincerely express the wisdom of the ages from our lineage of Sages.

Thinking, feeling, willing thus all things become fulfilling, pray tell we get direction and clear reflections not some sentimental recollections with lusty connections.  As the Mind folds, Intelligence holds, so let us grip our beads with complete greed and nurture our rounds with speed, this is the integrity I seek. Once done, we may blissfully do japa and surround ourselves with the Maha-Mantra. This is my goal if I may be so bold, from one who is quickly growing old.

Thus my desire is invoked, yet I still hesitate, obvious attachments must be revoked to obliterate. What about the subtle grips still lurking in the mind… easy enough, direct them to the Divine, now we have a start but let’s fan the spark! Keep in the Fire when we aspire for Vaisnava association, this is our means of true negotiation.

Who am I kidding, the senses want their bidding, a simple breeze will blow me away with ease. Will face the truth and acknowledge I’m uncouth, not fit for human life, this I know, it cuts like a knife for without Guru, Sastra and Sri Bhagavan I cannot go on.

My Sadhana is flickering, though gaining momentum, no more mental bickering, I know my intention and that is complete Spiritual attention… soon I pray, let me hold Bhakti close to my Heart and never stray.

Thank you for your valuable time, hope to continue this path and share more Truth so Sub-lime.

Your servant in training,

caitanya caritamrta dasanudas.

AGTSP. Hey this is a pretty good poem. Next one should be no longer than 140-words about the mystical land of Vrndavan.

Thank you very much!!

Hare Krsna dear Hanumatpresaka Swami,

Please accept my respectful obeisances,
All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All glories to You on your auspicious appearance day!

I would like to thank you all of your encourages and inspires what i got from You this year.
You are my well-wisher and friend who always helps me if i need good advice.
You really "walk your talk" not just instruct the devotees but You are a very strict follower of Srila Prabhupada. You get up and chant your rounds early, attend Mangala arati everyday and decrease your sleeping and eating day by day.

HpS - ASA - AGTSP paoho. The regular Japa workshop from 1.30-3.30AM we were able to keep strictly,  but when we were alone in Tennessee we were late for Mangala arati some days. Also, we try not to eat too much but we still have to work more on that.

I feel myself very fortunate to get in touch with you.

HpS - We feel fortunate when we hear from you and your good family and friends!

By your mercy i can understand so many things clearer than before. Your letters are life savers always. You said sometimes we have to leave our centre for an other one to appreciate it. It's right.
We moved to England and now we see the so many good things what we got from our yatra.
You asked me to stay in Hungary and preach during lunchtime. I work on it but now we have better opportunities here in England, although i'm sure there comes a time when we will move back to Hungary.
I hope once not just You will help me but i also can be on your assistance.
I don't have experience in the university programs but i would be happy to arrange a program here in Manchester or in Hungary in the future. Please let me know if i can help You somehow or other.

Thank you very much for your association.

Your servant,
Sri Radhe devi dasi

HpS - Jaya!  Thank you sooo much! Just be Krsna conscious. Just keep looking for the preaching opportunities that Krsna sends. Keep perspective how to do the most efficient Sankirtan by frequently calling, "HARE KRSNA / HARE RAMA"!

B. Home Town with Parents (14 Nov - 25 Nov 2013)

Reached home town at 4:30 PM on 14 Nov 2013. Normally, i get chance to go home town once in a year and as elder son of family, lots of tasks
waits for me for parents and younger brother. So i do all those and check for other responsibility.

My mother is a devotee and she is very strict to her sadhana. She always wake-up at 4:00 AM. She has a strick schedule for her sadhana - worship,
flowers offering, japa and other home responsibilities. I never seen her to break any rule for her comfort, she never.

C. Remote Village in Chhattisgarh (26 Nov - 3 Dec 2013)

I visited almost 12-13 villages in chhattisgarh in the search for simplicity, true life (which i don't found in the city life).

   Why i choosed those village?
Krsna's arrangement. I visited one village first and found a 10" diety of Lord Krsna with two cows (surrounded) in the village.
Krsan was blue in color and it was evening time, when i saw Krsan there, got fully attaracted.

when returned home from that village, thinking to go back again to see Krsna again. On the same night, went on the roof of our home and
somewhere some villagers very far from our home, were singing about Krsan. To here those village songs, i was very happy and excited.

So i inquired with my mother about those people, she said, there are many villages in that side, where people loves Krsan very much, every village
has a Krsna deity and they perform Krsna story in the evening time, every day. So i decided to visit all those to see how they love Krsan or how they
   express love for Krsna.

Villagers say them self - "Yadava". But scripturs says, there is no "Yadava" after Krsan's departur. But anyway, i found the villagers very simple
heart, simple living and actually leaving a true life. They wake-up very early in the moring, do there farming duty every day and in the evening time
they play or sing Krsan's lila or Ramayan every day and sleep early.

I came back in Pune but my heart is there, near the blue 10" diety of Lord Krsan surrounded with two cows, playing floots in the village.

One more thing is in my mind, There were many cows in those villages. One day when i was returning from a village in the evening time, i saw huge
no of cows returning from field. Cows were looking lovely, beautiful and a boy was taking care of those cows. Actually the boy was bringing back
those cows in the evening time. To see those, i was remembering Krsan. Krsan used to bring back cows from field in the evening time. Every thing
was looking so truth and simple. I was totally wordless.

your fallen servant,
Girivaradhari-Gopal Das

! ! ! ! !   Such mercy to hear about life in India ! ! !   Do you have any plans for like the next twenty years? Stay B'cari? Take to Sannyasa life?
