Hare Krishna dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my obeisenses. All glories to  Patita Pavana Srila Prabhupada!!!.

I have some news about your sankirtan in Bs As.

Confirmed:

1. Its confirmed an Interview in a TV Program, in Canal de la Ciudad, the oficial channel of the Capital City.(date to be confirmed)

2. They asked what kind of questions you want to be asked.
ASA - It seems you have been traveling, organizing and participating in cultural and educational programs in South American for many years now. What has been the result of that?

Then we can explain the Symposium in Peru and the satellite events. We will send synopsis of our paper for the event soon.

19/1/2015 It is confirmed a meeting with Dr. Klurfan (the director of the mental health institute you ve been) and his team, and also I invited Lic. Virginia Gawel and her team for this meeting, she is the Director of the Bs As transpersonal center,  here is a link to their web page:  http://www.centrotranspersonal.com.ar/que-es-el-ctba/el-staff/

ASA -  Maxi will be available for a phone call or questions during this meeting?

Waiting for confirmation:

1. Still waiting for confirmation of the Bs As Jung Foundation for giving a seminar in their center.

2. Waiting for confirmation  from AstroArquetipica for giving a seminar in their a center. If not, it is  posible you can meet with their team.

*Also last time in Skype I commented you about the posibility of having a Skype meeting with  Bert Hellinger https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bert_Hellinger and he is a german, and very occuped so he administrates a lot his time , he wants to know what are his interest in meeting with you.

HpS - I just read the web-page. Is very interesting. Unless he wants to investigate our theme of Science, Psyche and Spirituality - The Encounter of Carl Jung with the Classical Mysticism of India, then it seems we would not have a very intense meeting. You can give him a copy of the Teachings of Lord Caitanya, and explain the symposium in Peru. He can write for it.
Other than that ask him if he has any students with whom he feels we might talk.

*Do you want to give some special seminar for devotees in temple?

HpS - Pada-padma - Embracing the Lotus Feet of Krsna. Canto One and Two of Srimad Bhagavatam (like you never knew them before).   O.K?

*Is it posible to do a NIOS meeting? , there is a devotee that is psychologyst that maybe can help a lot in your sankirtan in Bs As.

ASA - Of course!  NIOS/ASA meetings. Meetings with devotees.

Hope you health is fine Gurudeva,

your servant,

Madhavendra P. Das

HpS - Honestly I consider you and everyone in Argentina our teachers. Battle of Kuruksetra, Ki Jai!  We win the world or die and go to heaven.

You are co-ordinating with The Rati-manjari DD, no?

Of course, anybody can write here in the Blog with suggestions. Nikunja-bihari Das is running around with his pistols loaded too.

Hare Krishna Gurudeva.

JAY SRI SRI GAURANGA NITYANANDA
JAY H.D.G. SRILA PRABHUPADA
JAY H.H. HANUMATPRESAKA SWAMI
JAY DEVOTEES

PLEASE ACCEPT MY MOST HUMBLE OBEISANCES TO YOUR LOTUS FEET.

HpS - ASA - Lobo's feet.  AGTSP!

Dear Gurudeva How is your health? I'm so worry about you say stomach cancer.

ASA - Seems more likely gastritis with future of ulcer if we don't slow down, move in.

10 of 16 rounds average, some days chanting 19 ... conciousness of my debt writing delayed like you told me, 4 principles ok. Reading daily SP books.

Keep fixing things of your visit w/Madhavendra P Das and Ambarisa M Das. Thanks to you, them and to all of you disciples to let me help. Guru Maharaja you want to make some particualar program during your visit, beyond of Jungs meeting, I asking something like "Education" like in your latest visit. I know you talk with Ambar and Madha if you answer it to them. Ignore my question.
HpS - Yes, there is letter from the M.puri. We answer it next.
I'm resolving some familiar issues. Is hard began to see my parents getting old. Hope be preparated for this phase.

HpS - Old age is good friend for a philosopher. Good chance for them to become philosophers. They can be very happy. Tell them that because their daughter is a very good girl and first class religious lady they will surely go to heaven and if they are a little industrious they can go hand in hand to meet sit with God and talk about things.

Have to finish to organize my India trip. I will give all of my effort to do everything in a good mood, Cakori is helping me, and so some devotees from Argentina giving me the appropiate guide.

- Ratha Yatra almost kill me, but I realize I have to improve my mood. Jagannatha bless me a lot.

- Kirtan programs keeps on, for pleased [pleasing] Srila Prabhupada. (attached photos) THEY HAVE OFFER CANDLES TO DAMODARA! :) Distribute some books. those are my news for now.

Thanks for encourage me always to improve. Make a few days I had celebrate 3 years from my initiation and I want to thank you. I know I am unable to pay my debt, but you just trust in me, that is why my compromise remains intact and each garland i make, each incense i offer and every service I make, I remember you and try to please. Please accept my humble obeisances at your holy feet. Grant me intelligence necessary not to lose my chance to BACK HOME, BACK TO GODHEAD.

Your daughter.

Rati-Manjari Devi Dasi.

HpS - Thank you for your association. I think many people find your association delightful, intoxicating. You live in a wonderful country, just have to extract the nectar from the poison!
All of your efforts seem nice.
Of course, FORGET EVERYTHING, even organizing our visit if that will help you get 16-nice rounds done daily. When you do that you will discover that EVERYTHING GOES well. What do you want?

1. Marry a pure devotee, incarnation of God?

2. Have God for a Son?

3. Become a Hare Krsna, Monja?  (Santa Rati of BsAs)?

4. Paint super pictures?

5. Have the world's biggest Barbi doll collection?

6. Organize fantastic dramas, movies, on the SB?

7. Become a living example of the Siksastaka and help 25-more devotees do the same?

8. All of the above?

9. Other.

Well, if you just chant 16-enthusiastic rounds a day and follow the 4-principles strictly you can have it all!!!!!

Report to Dr. Samaresh - Peru Symposium, HpS Health

Jaya Sri Krsna

Esteemed Professor,
We are making progress in leaps and bounds, but of course every day brings us closer to death. We have been having very debilitating stomach pains that can be diagnosed as incipient ulcer because of putting too much stress on our poor stomach.

When we want to “do” more, we eat more (than we can handle) and get a quick result in physical and mental energy but then the result of the mode of passion is immediate increase followed by subsequent prolonged decrease. We have to rest.

Now it has become so chronic (old age (a good friend for a philosopher)) that we just have to come to terms with it. We have to “feed our heart”. This seems to be working pretty well.

At heart we want to follow our, Acharya, Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami. I guess this is traditionally a natural desire. From that perspective the Yuga-dharma, Sri Krsna Sankirtan, is a practical duty for us, even on the verge of entering into an ecstatic relation with it, as is also natural, no?

In broader reference, the NIOS work: “Man Making…”, “Psychology and the Sacred”, has its natural stimulation as Sankirtan. Of course, we are realizing I am a psychologist and you are a historian, so I find it easier working in the “Psychology of the Sacred”, and you in “Man Making…”.

In terms of our team and NIOS’s global strategy, I also see the importance of putting the Peru Symposium first, but that is certainly an area where we are very amenable and eager to hear logic and reasoning from others.

Once our focus is fixed then the other details fall into place.

So,

  • Give Brother Ass a rest.
  • Work straight from the heart.
  • The Peru Symposium is nominated as NIOS’s number one priority, but other projects such as helping ISKCON Ministry of Education, “Bharata-samskrti” promotion, “Man Making…” editing (writing) etc. are a natural part of our work behind this.

A very practical detail is that it is very hard for us to communicate by telephone to India. Our natural schedule is to get up early, even by 1.15AM, then by 9AM, after a much needed breakfast, we invariable collapse into a sound sleep for about 1-2 hours. Even if we stay awake for these much needed calls to India, we are too groggy!

Ooof. We shall solve this problem, no?

O.K. Assuming that (it is now 10.51AM, we have had our nap, morning Sadhana, and are enthusiastic (for awhile (sun is shinning outside and even though it is cold and winter it is beckoning us for a stroll (Kant was accused of using too many nested parenthetical phrases))) Peru symposium is in the forefront:

1. We have an official web-page from the Peruvian National Library (BNP) at:

ANNOUNCEMENT

http://www.bnp.gob.pe/portalbnp/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2796.

GENERAL

 http://www.bnp.gob.pe/portalbnp/

It took a long struggle with bureaucracy and technical problems, translation and design, but there it is. We can refer anyone to our credentials.

2. Alejandro, our representative for this project in Peru, is now working with Prof. Miguel Polo, former Head of Department of Philosophy at San Marcos University, on a formal budget and agreement with the museum. They will provide EXCELLENT 450-seat auditorium, administrative infrastructure, name and reputation, heart, brains, and a ticket from England and USA by air with full hotel accommodation.

NIOS will donate $10,000, and manage several things.

The symposium will be for three days: 21-23 of June (Tuesday through Thursday). It will include incredible cultural items as well as individual presentations and panel discussions. Be packed full with selected university, church and society students and professors.

The magazine, Solaris, will present pre and post documentation and promotion of the contents.

One of the principal goals of the event is to form an Organizing Committee for a bigger (and for us final) event on the same theme in 2018. Ramon or someone commented, “In 2017 we will make a lot of friends and enemies, and in 2018 we will have your Battle of Kuruksetra”.

3. Probably five principal speakers, panelists, would be the proper number for three days, no? Then many other people could fit in.

Some now nominated are:
(By Ramon Mujica, Director the Museum)
Wolfgang Smith
Darrol Bryant
Seyyed Hosein Nasr

(By HpSwami)
Shonu Shamdasani
Samaresh Bandhyopadyay (Nandini Bandhyopadyay)

4. Shonu is professor in the history of medicine from the University of London, College of Medicine, and as far as we see the currently the lead scholar on Jung and publishing his very seminal and vastly untouched work. Honestly without him we would lose 85% of our enthusiasm for this project.

There has been question that your good self is a historian and not a psychologist, but our feeling is that you are a poly-math, expert in many things. I feel that you, I and Ravi should co-author at least one paper, presentation.

The second reason that I would like very, very much for you and Mrs. Bandhyopadyay to come is that the National Museum is right next door to the National Library, and National Library means vaults with 400-year old manuscripts etc. Of course, numismatics, epigraphy and general archeology are dialogs that you can make with local scholars that will shake the world. We would like for you to come with Ravi, his family and more and more friends on Monday the 20th. We would participate in the symposium. The ladies could go for a fantastic shopping spree, and cultural tour and very much have a youth and children’s component in the program.
Then we would very much like to see the prominent television shows host you and Matiji for cultural exchange.  We see the Indian Ambassador’s office is ready to help in all aspects. You will find the Peruvian community so much like Kolkata, warn, intellectual, dignified. We feel that Mrs. Bandhyopadyay, if she brings along a collection of pictures of her Aunts, Grandmother, carriages etc. will drive the ladies in Peru to ecstasy. Here they (and she) will see two cultures that are so parallel for so many years that the value for self-identification will be unlimited. “And finally Nandini, before you grace us with another wonderful song, what are things actually like for a mother now in Bengal? How are you educating your daughter and grand-daughters with all these ideas coming from the USA?”

You please stay for one week after the program and we do the exchange with the Museum and also fix very good relations between the Peruvian and Indian academic communities with the aim for making a world where we can all live in peace, prosperity and friendship with a common cause.

Oooof!   I feel like Kar Marx.  Now it is 11.24AM. Of course, you can see that this vision is based upon a LOT of work and seems quite practical. I think you can also see that one letter like this a day is really all we, in our sinful USA old age, can handle. Tomorrow we will work on the letter for Prof. Shyamdasani, and follow it up with phone calls etc.

O.K. We will review this letter now.

We are getting a headache (should be a heartache, no?). Our stomach is peaceful, and then read from the Bhagavata for our classes on Saturday.

O.K?  Are we sane?   You are our Principal Advisor for NIOS.

How big is your world?

How much control do you have?

Do you have control over body?

Can you make it defecate and urinate in a socially acceptable way? Can you play the social roles related to your psycho-social station?

It will all fall apart sooner or later, no?
We will be weak, seeing decay and destruction in all parts of our social empire, city of nine gates.

Will we lose the association of all the devotees who are our friends in ISKCON?

Will we just surrender to Lord Jagannatha and go with Him forgetting everyone else is that is what He asks?

==================

Sunday
4.30 p.m.
At the house of Vijay and Veena Narain.

About 25-devotees here for a five hour Kirtan.
3-1/2 hours have passed. It is amazing how much variety there is in chanting the Holy Names: Rhythms, feeling. I can see that I may chant because it is a social thing that I feel will give me freedom from bad events, to my family, body, or I may chant for celestial sense gratification, or... I may chant and think of the Deities, Radharani and Krsna, and then want to chant with a certain meaning...   A world of Maha-mantra.

Krsna, we are very weak. We seem to be falling down. All our strength, to the last moment seems to be dedicated to holding on the lotus feet of Your servant, Acharya, and chanting HK/R.
If you give us any strength and intelligence this body will act.

Initiations!

Hare Krishna, dear Gurumaharaja, Pamho, AGTSP!

In addiction [addition] to proposal for initiations we have Mitravinda dd, She's going to take Disciples in ISKCON course as well. I think she's ready now. We had a nice talk about her situation and she's eager to help ISKCON worship and sankirtana, as always. I'm functioning as teacher, tutor and couch [coach] for several people in ISKCON. I think that's my responsability. Encourage people to study Srila Prabhupada's books. Help people to keep enthusiastic in the service of the sankirtana movement. More or less. Is it OK?

HpS - Sure, it is the very best service!

For that I have to things better too. I know, I'm trying....

NIMSAR have nice perspectives and programs for summer. Talk about that later.

your servant.
LAD

HpS - Please ask the Mitravinda Devi Dasi to write about second initation to the Blog!  Seems best is for Initiations after we return from Chile.
Hope to have a Skype call with you soon!
Krsna is very, very, very conscious of our situations, and is holding things in reserve just as He likes.
