I am trying to cultivate better relationships with all ¡¡ So SADHU SANGA is the best way to do it ¡¡¡

I spoke to the temple authorities and mentors, and I’m going to wait to be initiated by you until you are back in the states. I’m frighteningly praying it’s the right step. I hope it is okay with you?

HpS - ASA --- Seems fine to me!  What about Kartik?  24th October to 27th November. We were thinking of passing along the East coast at that time.

Other news:

I will be attending an inter-faith environmental leadership convergence in New Orleans for a week at the end of June. The temple is sponsoring this trip in hopes of implementing more sustainable and eco-friendly methods. Anutama Das and the GBC have adopted the green initiative and our temple will spearhead this. It’s a daunting task but it’s Krishna’s perfect solution to a problem I felt disheartened about. After festivals or Sunday feasts, our temple is *ordered to throw away huge bins of prasadam. After witnessing so much waste, I simply thought about something that could be done to prevent that. Krishna is now sending me to a place full of individuals with knowledge to solve that problem. As a representative of ISKCON DC and Srila Prabhupad, I ask for your blessings that this go well and we can use in service.

HpS - ASA -- Super!  Maybe we can get a Temple Pig also.   We can grow so much in so little space. We can have orchards!

Everything else is going okay. I am studying for my GRE currently while working and it’s tedious. The mind will find any possible excuse to evade studying. Anxieties of career, grad school, summer festivals, money, relationships, betterment, etc. are all swirling around menacingly. Please send blessings that I can put this wretched thing back in its cage and focus on Hari. Any suggestions on how to stay focused and dovetail studying to Krishna? I had this problem in college too.

HpS - ASA -- We have it right now, and all we can understand is Get up Early and get your Rounds Done (with care).  Then you got a base and then its a matter of being creative to solve your own problems. That attracts Radha and Krsna to you individually to see the fun. Of course, ask others for specific tricks they use.

Not much else to report…Rath Yatra season has started! We served Jagganath this Memorial weekend…and next will be NYC!

Por favor, acepte mis más humildes reverencias.

     Quisiera hablarle hoy de mis rondas. Cuando leí en la biografía de S. Prabhupada el porqué hacemos 16 rondas, pensé en lo poco que es en realidad. S. Prabhupada no pudo bajar mas el número. Es lo menos que podemos cantar. Solo una pequeña muestra a Krisna de lo que deseamos servirle. Pensé que era demasiado poco y enseguida me puse un nuevo número mínimo: 18 rondas al día. He estado cantando esas rondas desde el 1 de enero de este año. Pero con el paso del tiempo, lo voy aumentando y ahora normalmente me hago 20, algunos días 22, otros 23. Y cuantas mas rondas me hago, mas rondas quiero hacer. Cada día intento mejorar la calidad de mis rondas concentrandome en cada palabra de cada Maha Mantra que digo. Teniendo siempre en la mente que es un llamado a la atención de Krisna, que es una declaración de amor a Él, que con cada uno le digo que deseo ser Su sirvienta eterna. Y Él me responde y me concede ese deseo dandome servicio devocional. Yo estoy muy feliz porque por Su misericordia, en el festival de Nirsinhadeva, en N. Vrajamandala, he podido servirle cosiendo y arreglando Sus vestidos y los de Radharani, y también cocinando en Su cocina. Servirle tan directamente ha sido maravilloso y aunque todo lo que hago lo hago para Él, mi corazón desea servirle mas de cerca, como lo hacen los pujaris. Por eso cuando estoy con los pujaris de N. Vrajamandala o los del templo de Madrid, intento aprender de cómo hacen las cosas para que quizá en un futuro pueda servir yo a Krisna en la forma de las Deidades como lo hacen ellos.

     Cuando estoy en mi casa, pongo en práctica todo lo que aprendo en los templos y sirvo a mis Deidades así. Mis Deidades son fotos y llevo con ellas cerca de un año y medio. Yo sé que no hay diferencia entre Krisna y Su forma pero me gustaría tener Deidades. Por eso me gustaría mucho que usted me dijese si puedo tenerlas ya. Quisiera tener a Jagannatha, Baladev y Subhadra.

HpS - ASA --  Si, esta bien.   No podemos asistir a La Forma de Krsna como Deidad Instalado hast Segunda Iniciacion, pero podemos comenzar servir en casa de manera amistoso. Realmente esto puede ser tan profundo como la formalidad. Si ni tiene licensia de abogado no significa que no puede entender todo perfecto.

Amo especialmente a Krisna en esa forma. Nunca olvidaré la primera vez que vi al Señor Jagannatha: Fué en el templo de Madrid en el Ratha Yatra del año pasado. Era mi primer Ratha Yatra. Yo había visto antes al Señor Jagannatha en fotos y había oído hablar de Él a mi hermana que estuvo dos semanas en el templo de Tenerife. Ella me decía cosas maravillosas de Él y yo empecé a leer hacerca de Él. Poco a poco se me fué despertando mucho amor , admiración y devoción hacia la Deidad y cada día deseaba más que llegara el Ratha Yatra para poder verle de verdad. 

     Por fin llegó el día. Yo fuí pronto al templo de Madrid para ayudar a preparar todas las cosas para el desfile. Como a media mañana vinieron las Deidades de N. Vrajamandala. Las pusieron abajo en el templo. Yo pedí permiso para bajar y verlas y me dejaron. Cuando vi al Señor Jagannatha, Baladeva y Shubadra, mi corazón se puso a latir muy rápido y mi cuerpo se puso a temblar. Le hice una reverencia intentando controlar que las lágrimas no salieran de mis ojos pero no pude y comencé a llorar. No podía dejar de mirar los grandes e impresionantes ojos del Señor Jagannatha. Me sentía como hipnotizada y solo podía pensar en Él y en la belleza de las Deidades que tenía delante. Y solo podía sentir amor por Él, tanto que creía que mi corazón ardía. Y en mi cabeza solo el deseo de servirle, de cuidarle, de mirarle para siempre. Por eso, despues de unos minutos, comencé a cantar el Maha Mantra, todavía con lágrimas en los ojos y sin poder apartar mi mirada de Él. Y sentí cosas muy hermosas en esos momentos. Cosas que las palabras no puedes describir. 

ASA -  Hmmm?  Eso es claro, imposible, que eso no es de vida anterior con Sr. Jagannatha.

     Ese día sentí que no era la primera vez que veía al Señor Jaganatha. Sentí que mi alma volvía a encontrarse con Él después de mucho tiempo. Que Él volvía a concederme Su misericordia para poder volver a servirle. Por eso Sus fotos están en mi altar y todos o casi todos los días les hago un buen postre, porque sé que Les gustan mucho los dulces. Por eso ya tengo pensado donde las voy a poner, que vestidos les voy a hacer, qué platos les voy a comprar y muchas mas cosas. Me encantaría tenerlas en mi casa pero ante todo tengo muy presente que Krisna me está enseñando y guiando a través de usted y haré todo lo que usted me diga.

HpS - No, esta bien, como explique encima.  Muy bien venido Senor de Nilacala.  Busca un pelicula en YouTube, "Nilacala Mahaprabhu".   Es muy antiqua. Renovado por ISKCON Television muchos anos pasado.

I very much appreciated reading the 'jayarama.us' document, particularly your siddhanta with regards to Srila Prabhupada, and the meaning of 'diksa-guru'. I knew that Mathuradis Prabhu had led me to the right sadhu. (I relayed your MSG to him by the way!)

I am in the process of tracking down Dhaneswari and Dhruva so I will let you know once I have done this.

Although speculation is forbidden, we were thinking that since you were born in Guam that you dad was probably an US Air Force Officer(?) If this is true we might have a couple of things in common as I also did some Shin Bu Kai karate as a kid and my dad was a pilot for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

HpS - ASA -- No, our father was auditor for the Army Audit Agency, the kind of guy who kept track of the gas bill for the airplanes.  We studied Uechi Ryu. Some videos on YouTube.  Really we got a great knowledge of Pranayama out of it and some little knowledge of fight (for the just cause).

Guru Maharaj, I have an issue regarding my future long term service, and your advice in this matter would be very much appreciated.

HpS - ASA -- Monkey and Piggy suggest that we not get puffed up and just keep it to "Maharaja" at this point, O.K?  We are very comfortable with Srila Prabhupada as our "Guru Maharaja" for everybody in our subset at this point. Of course, we are trying to learn how to walk on water, but we still have a few defects in the process.

Presently I am residing in the temple at New Govardhana, and am working part-time for a solicitor in Byron Bay. I am due to get 'admitted' as a lawyer on 1 August 2016. The problem is that often, in order to get work in this area one must be prepared to work 40-50+ hours per week which clearly has an adverse effect on one's sadhana. 

I have even looked into an alternate path such as teaching at the local gurukula here. However, that would require another 2 years study in order to obtain a 'Masters in Teaching' which is a prerequisite in the state of New South Wales. I am also rather attached to the work I have put into achieving my law degree and graduate diploma but realise this will mean less time at the temple here if I am to pursue this in earnest. 

There is however a preaching centre (as you may already be aware) in the Gold Coast 45-60 minutes from here. Most of the potential future jobs for me are in this area.

I think your blessings either way would certainly assist me in being enthusiastic about the path to take. I am happy to donate half to the temple so that is not really a concern. However a recent position which I had, often required ten hours a day which really killed my chanting.

I would look at doing 'in-house' legal work for ISKCON even if it required overseas travel.

Please advise me in this regard.

HpS - ASA ---   Detailed advice requires detailed knowledge, so it is difficult for us to say from here which detailed path might seem good. We do it if we really know the situation and I would say we have about a 87% success rate.     Canakhya Pandita (the Machiavelli times six of India) says that victory comes from good advice and good advice comes from many counselors. So that is our first idea, ask a lot of people who know the situation and you.

Second, I would say that a simpe standard is what improves your 16-rounds minimum and 4-principles strictly.

Third, I have seen that Krsna takes specially care to arrange these situations, so don't be advised if you move into a postion where you can do the number of hours of "secular" law and money making that you want very quickly.

For some reason, microsoft kept on blocking access to my account, so there was delay in accomplishing the edit for you.  Computer was at Geek Squad off and on.  Finally got the problem "permenantly" solved and then finished the project quickly.  Did the hard copies arrive on Tues?  I sent them next day mail, so they should have.  Did the attachment of soft copy open correctly?   If I did not correctly perform the assigned task, please let me know so i can further edit it quickly before you leave on next preaching mission.  Thank you so much for allowing me this seva.

Thank you most sincerely for the quality time we were invited to spend with you in Boise!!!! Becoming acquainted with God Brothers and Sister there was really a blessing!!!  Adjusting to non-temple life upon returning was really difficult.  Of course, taking Radha-Gopinatha's darshan upon return did soften the blow!!

etc:  You may remember Jaya Krsna Das.  He and family attended our home program here last year.  He asked you a question.  You said that, by his question, you could see he is in mode of goodness.  Anyway, I mention him because he has asked me to ask you a very specific question.  He is one of the most strict (attention to detail is remarkable) and serious devotees  I know.  It would not have occured to me to ask you the following question.  Knowing him makes me realize how little advancement I have made.

Question:  There is a website developed by a disciple of yours, Prahlad Nrsimha Das.  It is vedabase.com, an offering of Bhagavad Gita As it Is  in Tamil language.  Jaya Krsna Das has been asked to help with the editing or proof-reading of this e-publication.  Prabhu has assured him this project has been ok'd by GBC.  However, it is important to Jaya Krsna Das that you also have sanctioned or "authorized" your disciple to carry on this service.  If you are not agreeing with this service, then Jaya Krsna Das will respectfully decline to participate in the proof reading.  If you have "authorized" your disciple to do this service, he will be glad to help and is waiting for your reply to make his decision.  Authorized by you?

Lastly, thank you very much for teaching me the correct way to lead Maha Mantra kirtan at Boise Temple.  At Sac ISKON, the group just will not respond unless the kirtan leader leads the response.  I don't know if its the size of the room and the devotees are spread out, or the acoustics are poor so they can't hear each others voices, or what.  But, I have just become used to leading the response after doing so for the last two years and now do it without thinking.  When you gave me  instruction during the kirtan, I  lost my train of thought.  Because of my head surgery, this can happen and it is really difficult for me to find the connection in my "data base" again.  When I'm fully engaged and there is an interruption, it's like my brain crashes and I can't find the neuro-connections again for awhile.  It's like i temporarily seriously forget what I previously knew how to do. (Don't get a brain tumor is my advice (;>))

You are always welcome to correct me. I wonder you don't do so more frequently since I'm such a fool.  It may have seemed as if I was offended. I was not.  The truth is that when I suddenly loose the neuro connection mid-task, it is quite un-nerving, quite disconserting, almost like I don't know where I am.  It's a little scary.  Even though I understand the phenomonon, it is an emotional experience for me.  Hope this is clarifying.  You would have no way of knowing this about me.  It is fairly common for people with post-traumatic brain syndrom.

Thank you!      We talked with Dr. Samaresh and Rama-giri-dhari Das in India this morning and now we are editing the Promotional Flyer that will be the first use of the Prospect List. We will use it again and again and maybe update it and put it into a Database.
Thank you very much for the information about the brain reaction. Is very interesting. As a devotee it gives you such a chance to see how the donkey works and realize that you are not this Donkey.

Yes, Prahlada-nrsmha Das', Vedabase.com project is approved by the European BBT, Vanipedia and the BBT Archives. It is officially a branch of the ISKCON Anjana Suta Academy whose GBC Secretary is Tamohara Das, and we, as far as our authority goes have the very best wishes for him in the project. He is a very, very nice person, with a very, very, very, very nice wife and we discuss with him his ideas for the project. I don't really see any better Sankirtan in ISKCON than this project. Of course, there are other projects just good.
