As per the request of  His Excellency Uncle Gismo, here is one simple "cookie or something similar" recipe.
NO BAKE CAROB SWEETS
3 cups fine oat-flakes (made to powder in blender)
1 cup dried grated coconut
1/2 cup walnut
1/4  carob powder
1/2   cup butter
1/2 cup milk
sweetener: as you like (we use Muscovado sugar)

Preparation: mix all and make balls or patties (we make balls).

According to my expirience this recipe is simple, fast and easy to make, it has nice consistency, and is open to different variations of sweeteners, nuts, butter and milk. In our family, it has Vaisnava name already, from devotee who gave us the recipe (Darpaha prabhu).

Here you have our recipe for the cookies

Ingredients

2 cups of fluor

1cup of sugar

200g of butter

1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate

1handful of cinnamon

1 handful of oats

1/4 cup of natural yogur

Preparation

The butter must be at room temperature. In one bowl mixed very well the butter with the sugar then add tHe cinnamon, the oats,yogur. After that the flour previously sifted with the sodium bicarbonate. Mixed all these very well. Then put in a plastic bag in the fridge for a few minutes. 

Preheat the oven for 15 minutes 190°f

Spread with butter the tray

Make balls and put them on the tray.

Put the tray on the oven for 20 minutes aprox. 

Offer to Krsna

We leave for Lima on the 15th.  Our main focus there is this symposium being
sponsored by us, NIOS, and the Peruvian National Library.  It has come along
very, very well. We feel like a passenger on a great Cruise Ship. Is beyond our
means to control. The participants are very, very respected, nice people from
Peru, Chile, Canada, Mexico, India etc.
For example, Beverley Zabriskie. She was co-founder of the Jungian Society in
New York and the Philemon Foundation which has an enormously popular following
and is dedicated to publishing the many unpublished works of Jung. Prabhupada
said that of all the Western philosophers, Jung seemed to have the most sense,
and his modern followers seem to fall in that category. It is like preaching to
Sukadeva Goswami and the four Kumaras sometimes.
She is also an arti critic for the New York Times.

We hope to have the results of this symposium available for all of you soon.

While there we will be staying at Abhirama's house in Lima with SB classes
available for anyone. We will go to Wilson for two evening programs. We will go
to Bolivia for a week and Chosica for about 10-days.

Dear Gurudeva, I do not write much that he does, I hope is well.
Here things right, and everything is calmer, I have written several times with Gunagrahi Prabhu, and my relationship with him is good, I dolio that has agreed to be guru with this mental illness, I understand that all conditioned living entities have that shackle, and I understand that the practice of celibacy is 100% grace (mercy), I wanted to tell you that in my practice celibacy one of the principles I try to follow is not to mention the conditioning of others. I tell Gurudev this because Prema Rasarnava told me that Him spoke with You.

I'm teaching the Nectar of instruction, and also the Bhagavad Gita residents of the temple.
And I began to study at university.
Sadhana well, it will improve more as this college is a bit new for me and it will stabilize better.

With Bharata I'm not talking since March, because we do not talk Well. We will take time

Here the  temple improved and two months is here Srila Virabahu Maharaja, He has much respect for you ago.

My 4 principles and 16 rounds well, good relationship with the authorities, and especially my service to the deities.

HpS - Very nice to hear from you.  Write your letters in simple Spanish first that you know www.translate.google.com can translate well. Then use the translator and edit it if necessary.  Your writing frequency is fine. More would be O.K.   We think of you. We have heard different things about Guna-grahi Swam and are not exactly sure what happened to him. He confessed some mental or verbal or physical attachments illicit sex, no???   I want to write to him to say that there may be negative things, but we have so much affection for him and appreciation of his positive service.

If there are faults in devotees and we are good, we can avoid those and get the positive aspect of their service, no?

What are you studying?

If you happen to see Bharata in the street (Ha!  Ha!  Ha!)  please offer our respects to him. We also like him very much.   Actually feeling a lot of separation from BsAs thinking of all of you now.  KC is so much fun. Everybody should be joining the Temple is Ciudad de la Paz!

What a beautiful time to be in. So much creativity, i sense there is a shifting within ISKCON. Seeing how wonderfully devotees are preaching enlives me up. The Journey Within by Hh Radhanath Swami, Hiding in Unnatural Happiness by Hh Devamrita Swami, Our family business by H Grace Vaisesika Prabhu, Psychology and the sacred by Nios. The new wave is coming! UTSAHA!! 

In the other hand i feel awful cause i feel I'm doing nothing for this movement. Or much less i could do if i were focused.

Preaching is growing nicely here in MDP, we are going out of our centers to different places, schools, clubs, homeless shelters, etc. Many people are coming and programs are growing. We are penetrating more and more into MDP's society, media, governors start noticing our work.

My life is ok for kali yuga in the material world, Manu and Benji are growing nicely healthy and have some sense of KC. Work is fine, i can not find the right pace yet but struggling for that.

I'm chanting 16 rounds, probably 25% acceptable. Little by little I'm catching up with my vrata debt. I'm having problems with illicit sex. We keep with this karma misra bhakti yoga process and We started a strict diet to try to control this. 48 hs of juices, then only 2 meals a week with grains and only ghee as dairy products. The rest just salad and steamed vegetables!!

HpS - For whom are you cooking?

I'm reading Pada padma of SB! Leading BG discussion at El Loft and I'm in charge of book distribution and now Food for life program. I tend to keep busy in the service but sometimes i dont know whether to quit that services and focus only in 4p and 16r. What do you think gurudev?

HpS - If you look at the revised www.jayarama.us/kd/guru-tattva.txt there is a wonderful citation by Srila Prabhupada. He says that like all the other services are choked or illusory unless we are 16/4.    Nothing else will suffer if we focus on 16/4 ... money, fame, entertainment, sankirtan, family, administration...

Thank you so much for always be there for us Gurudev and make huge endeavor for pushing this wonderful movement foward. I really know that purity is the strenght and that is the real mean of conquer. I feel that the only thing i can do is keep trying my best to overcome this anarthas!

HpS - In our current circumstances we get bored and lonely sometimes, so we read stuff from Gutenberg.org, take too much fruit juice and condensed milk...   Somebody else can't stop a heroin addiction. Room for improvement at every level.  Usually there is a good reason why be a subject to greed, lust. What is it?  Probably many valid reasons.  Investigate.Chant HK all the time we are attracted and engaged in our greedy things.

Esteemed Guru Maharaja:  Yes, we were very fortunate to have your darshan in Sacramento last year about this same time.  And, you did say you wouldn't be visiting the West coast this year.

Seeing this unforseen opening in your schedule, we could not help inviting you again - especially since the spare room is ready (Dave would sleep there and you would take his room.)

Please do what is best for your physical-spiritual health.  We will be sad not to see you but will most definitely support your decision.
