We are all eagerly awaiting to have a Darshan of your lotus feet. Kindly shower your mercy upon us the fallen souls.

HpS - ASA -- 2106 nov 17. Hare Krsna, Hari Das Das!    We have only recevied air tickets from Guwahati to Imphal and Imphal to Delhi.   Have you sent air reservations from Kolkatta to ... ?   From there I understand we will be taking ground transport, no?

.....   We checked our Yahoo account again and four more air tickets have just been posted there. We will look at them soon. Now is 3.49AM so we bath and go for Puja and Mangala arati.  That you so much.  Brother Ass, our body, has to "bear" a lot of the burden of this travel. He is almost 70-years old, American, so we will have to make some compensation for him.

AGTSP paoho.  We are depressed, with stomach ache etc. etc.  Haw!     Haw!   Haw!     Our Donkey.   It is 5.25PM and dark and cold outside.  No people.  We started just eating rice and beans prasad today, once a day and so far it is good. It is depressing, but we learn to substitute water and little exercise, dancing.

Out visit to D.C. has been wonderful. All cities so far have been wonderful.  We are cementing 10,000 times stronger relations with the ISKCON leaders here.  We have done programs in 6-colleges and universities so far.

Tomorrow we fly to Raleigh.

While we were tackling our Letters and Essays, Abhirama Das called from Peru. We talked to him for about 30-minutes. He has very practical work he is doing there. We are developing very good relations there with first class university people.

We also got a very thoughtful letter from the Catur-atma Das about his work in the administration in Peru and we were advising him to adjust in terms of his age but continue until 50-years old with his mental strength, then continue with his intellectual contribution.

We feel very happy that we followed this once a day eating all Kartika and now are stepping it forward for Katyayani vrata. The purpose of all of this is to increase book distribution. Doesn't mean just quantity but also quality.

O.K.   Here we go to the temple. The Temple has about 20-acres of land here. It is one of the riches area. One cow, now.

HARE KRSNA DEAR GURU MAHARAJA

hope this meet you in good health..

... it's been more than two months since our last letter... things haven't been so good in these time...

Materially I do very well ... I can not complain ... I have two jobs and the studies are quite good ... it is much more than I expected.

In fact I have more responsibilities at school for next year and that makes me very happy because I'm doing what I like and working in a place where I can have some freedom of teaching.

As for health I am taking a special treatment to gain weight. Some doctors are pushing me to eat meat but i am still looking for other options. I feel that I have more energy but I am trying to dose that energy. My mind works more than my body.

My big concern is that in these months I have been questioning a lot Who am I? What is my relationship with Krsna? What is my mission in this life? Do i really want to keep doing this?
I have taken material priorities and because of that I have neglected my spiritual life to the point that I am not chanting the rounds, I am not going to the temple or associating with devotees.

I really know what my duty as a disciple is, but I always find excuses not to. Sometimes I feel like I do not want to. All I ask Krsna every day is to help me feel desires to chant the rounds and improve my spiritual life. 

I feel quite embarrassed to write this because I know I made a promise to you and being honest you gave me so much and I'm always failing. So far I could never consider myself a follower of Srila Prabhupada's follower. 

I do not want to make more promises that maybe I will not fulfill ... I just want to tell you that despite all this problem I still try to improve every day. I know this is only a stage and I hope it happens fast.

I'm working a lot on my introspection and I see that I have a lot of disqualifications but that helps me to realize that there is a lot to work on.

Without your blessings, our life does not make any sense. Without your presence in our life is like being dead in life.

HpS - ASA --- Please, please, write with a little news from now and then. Just one letter every two months in like going to the Doctor for your body every two months, no?    You do have a lot of excuses with your body, but in the ultimate issue, 16-4 is something directly between you and Krsna, God, creator and maintainer of all bodies. Prabhupada was not chanting Japa at the end of his life, no?   He could not even hold his hand up.

Can you fix a certain number of rounds per day until the next Ekadasi and then make your report here of the result????   Our respects to your Mother, Sister et al.

Generally speaking, this is how I understand and act upon these kind of situations.

A person practices ISKCON sadhana bhakti, after some times stops the practice (by leaving ISKCON and joining some other sect, or stopping sadhana altogether). This person may be by profession an auto mechanic. If I need to fix a car, I may bring it to that person. But if that person is a philosopher and scholar by profession, and I need some philosophical points to discuss, I may need to be careful with what to hear/take from a person whose philosophy differs from our parampara.

This is given in simple words. There are more details to consider.

Is that proper?

HpS - As far as we can understand things we act in the same way, and of course there are details. Some people have left and become viscious demons. So, with them we don't even ask technical things.

About citations – they are about connections of Bhoja and Rupa Goswami, then some about historical facts , and about how Rupa Goswami uses Agni Purana.

Now that we are here on this topic, may I ask what you think and what you say to people who declare points that Nitai das propagates: that our line from BSST is not bonafide because BSST did not took initiation from Gaurakisora das Babaji. (There are more points but this is a main one).

HpS - Do you mean he didn't take Sannyaya from GKDB?   Is there some doubt that GKDB didn't give him Mantra initiation as a Hari-nam disciple or Gayatri mantra?
Sannyasa is a Varna ashrama arrangement in some ways. Real parampara is one Sampradaya Acharya accepting another as his student and then passing the Bhava, perspective, attitude with Sastric reference to his disciple.

Answering your question about my Sankirtan... to add more passion etc.... I have some ideas but I prefer to discuss them in person with U on December. Whenever I say things in advance sometimes those things do not developed or not end in success. I try not to say so much about my life to others just U and with one witness.

I was extremely happy lately participating in the last festivals leading 3 abhisheks in one week. Associating with devotees... very nice. I try to be connected with temple activities. 

From one year I was being training about gem therapy.  I am offering that  theraphy nowadays. Last thursday I was interviewed by Holistica TV.  I feel good helping others. Also I gave to my  interviewer one perfeccion del yoga. Then she wanted to visit chosik. My communication with others is much better.

ASA - I had bad allergies and someone suggested a pearl. so one friendly jeweler put a pearl on a silver wire and attached it on our Japa beads, so every round we touched it, meditated on it. Our allergy droppes 75% that year.

Yesterday we have the Sradha ceremony for Jagajivan d. I read the letter that U post in the blog about him. Everybody appreciate your words.

HpS - He was very nice person. He was rough and thick headed at times, as far as we saw him, but he would not be a Ksatriya, GBC Regional Secretarym, unless he had some qualities like that. We see how we will miss his association (for a while). It is like expecting one to be a woman and not have a soft heart.

Last but not least... Lately I was dating one guy. But nothing happened. we do not even hold hands... Now I can tell when someone's intentions are not good. So I naturally drift apart. I will always tell U everything Gurudeva

HpS - In India, even in the modern world, I think no girl will 'hold hands' with a boy until here wedding day. Always associate with opposite sex with some advice from your grown up Godbrothers. One time we asked Gaura-gadadhara Devi Dasi with Laksmana Das there, if it was better to have a husband or a brother. She smiled and thought about it and smiled again and said a....   Brother.

It is all going to be over very quickly. Don't plan you life in the Transit Lounge.

Modern science confirms* that every seven years all the cells in the body are changed. That in the range of seven years all the cells in the body are changed.

We use this fact as a example of reincarnation, even in this body.

Srila Prabhupada agreed with this statement.

ASA - Even the nerve cells?  We Googled the fact and got some references that say it is not precise, but yes the cells replace, and still says that the brain neurons are not replaced, but I hear that there is new research about this now.

How it is that those new cells take a form (or qualities) of aged body? For example, the aged body forms wrinkles around the eyes and the new cells maintain those wrinkles (or even makes more of it) instead to being new as in a young body. Or if a person has a tattoo, after seven years that tattoo is still there, it does not vanish. We would understand that a new cell will have a new untouched quality but it is not so.
