Hare Krsna Guru Maharaj

Dandavat Pranam unto your lotus feet.

All glories to Sri Gouranga and Srila Prabhupada.

Dear Guru Maharaj,

Hope you are in good health.

I would like to inform you that I am the son of your disciple Krsna Swaroop Das, Silchar, North East India. By the mercy of the Lord I have got the inspiration to join this blog.  Please forgive me Guru Maharaj for any offences I committed unto your lotus feet out of my ignorance during the short association I had with you during your last  visit to North East. From now onwards I shall try to keep in touch through this. Please be merciful to answer any silly questions which I may ask to you in future. Please inspire me to serve you and Srila Prabhupada.

Dandavat Pranam unto your lotus feet.

Your ignorant servant

Bishal

HpS - Hello, Bishal et al. Thank you for your letter. Our respects to your father, family, community. We did not feel offended in Silchar. Wonderful opportunity for preaching.

Are you chanting on beads regularly?

We publish our newsletter today at the webpage.

Srimad Bhagavatam 1.1.3 to 1.1.8

Hare Krishna Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Following is the summary of 1.1.3 and 1.1.8 as discussed last Sunday.

Classification of Chapter 1:

  • Verses 1-3 : Prelude to Srimad Bhagavatam
  • Verses 4-8 : Setting the scene for Srimad Bhagavatam
  • Verses 9-end : Six questions

Verse summaries:

  • V1:  Absolute truth
  • V2 : Srimad Bhagavatam is the essence
  • V3: Devotees who relish SB
  • V4: Naimisharanya and devotees are well-wishers of everybody
  • V5: Qualities required for the speaker and the listener of Srimad Bhagavatam
  • V6: Goswamis’ qualifications
  • V7: Six philosophies
  • V8: Secret of success in spiritual life

Other Important points:

  • To really understand Srimad Bhagavatam, we have to come to the stage of non enviousness.
  • Verses 1,2 and 3 are spoken by Vyasa.
  • Srimad Bhagavatam is the ripened fruit of Vedic literature, full of juice, it is not to eat but to drink.
  • Krsna is Akhila rasa murti.
  • While reading Srimad Bhagavatam Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Gadadhara Pandit used to shed so many tears that the whole Srimadbhagavatam’s ink disappeared and it became empty.
  • If we hear Srimad Bhagavatm from a non devotee it is like drinking milk touched by a serpent.
  • No one should sit on Vyasasana until they are free from the 4 vices: meat eating, intoxication, illicit sex and gambling.
  • In Naimisharanya Vshnu never closes his eyes.
  • Ashtavakra is a monist.

HpS - ASA -  Thank you!!!   What is the reading for next Sunday???

Your servant,

Sundari Radhika dd.

Hare Krishna Dear Maharaj!

Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupad! All glories to Sri Gaurangaaa! All glories to you!

I was writing in regards to your update on the blog with Delta – and praying to serve you in some way! Would it be okay for my family and I to sponsor an upgrade to your ticket?! To business or first class?! If you send your flight details, I can work out the upgrade on my end and send it back to you.

Or you could modify if you prefer and then just send the bill for the ticket! Please let me know!

When are you leaving India, and where are you heading to next? Houston? Please please please let us be of service! I understand your health has been wavering and would very much be obliged if I can assist in any way for your comfort for such a long journey.

Thank you for your mercy!

Your aspiring servant,

SuGopi dd

(this was sent as an email as well-- intended for whichever you checked first!)

HpS - Thank you. We just answered this and the next letter with copies to Jiva Goswami in Texas. If it can be upgraded by your friend that is O.K.    However, we think that the Upgrade effort will only work if Krsna wants. If He wants it will have a negative effect and we will get to the airport and they will say, "Oh, something has happened to your ticket and it is cancelled!".

Haw!   Haw!   Hurray!.      Maya tries to make us furious at Her.  Hate her, lust after her, she doesn't care. In either case we are attached dominating her and not serving Krsna. She has her job. We don't concern oursleves with it too much unless it is part of our service also!

Delta's Answer

Hare Krsna!  Hare Rama!

It took almost one month for the answer from Delta, and it seems that they have a poorly paid employee who reads many letters like ours daily and then picks a form letter and fills in some spaces in the letter with extracts from the complaint letter and then gives a token compensation of Sky Miles and goes on to the next letter. It is actually funny, crazy! How can people exist like this? Of course, they can't. Marsha does this out of fear of death and starvation and humiliation and abandonment and drowns her sorrows in some form of intoxication.

We would say that the best preaching strategy in these situations is the one that it appears Prahlad Maharaja adopted when preaching to his father: Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (7.5.30) and the few accompanying texts. Apparently he did not think his father would accept his comments, but at least he heard the truth and at some point it would have an effect.

In Vrndavana Dhama only Krsna and Balarama kill demons. Everyone else just calls, "Hare Krsna!   Hare Rama!". . . unless K/B empower us to kill demons.

                  Whhooooosh@     Bang!     Gronk!!!       SMashHH!

Dear Dr. Robinson,

RE: Case Number 22345393

Thanks for your email letting us know about your scheduled trip from IAH with Air France. I'm really sorry your flight was delayed. I realize how frustrating it was to be rerouted to travel with KLM via Amsterdam, and because you had to wait so long in line when you arrived, you missed your connection with Jet Airways to Delhi and ended up spending the night at the airport. It's also disappointing to hear that you didn't get the care you were expecting when you were delayed.

I will be sure to forward your concerns on to our Airport Customer Service Leadership Team, so they can consider your experience when making needed changes to improve our service.

Bonus Miles
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but we're unable to offer a complimentary upgrade or ticket as you've requested. As a goodwill gesture, I’m adding 20,000 bonus miles to your SkyMiles account. They should be transferred into your account within three business days.

We love that you're a SkyMiles member. We will do our best to serve you well on your next flight with us.

Regards,

Marsha Smith

Were came in to IAH from Mexico on UA1025. The whole trip from Mexico to Delhi should have taken 24-hours. It took 68-hours. We were routed five times and had to pass two nights in benches in airports. In IAH Delta wrote us over to KLM. KLM gave us IAH boarding pass but said to to KLM counter in Amsterdam for Delhi boarding pass. We did. KLM left IAH two hours late and were had to wait in line at Amsterdam transfer desk for two hours. When we got to desk they said that we had missed the flight and would have to Peru for a new ticket. We explained that it was there delay. They waived the new cost but would not give room for the night. After will night in the airport we fought for our new boarding pass, now with Jet Airways. Got it but art the gate they rebooked us on a flight to Mumbai with connection to Delhi. Connection to Delhi was cancelled and rebooked for a flight six hours later. We're like 70-years old. We had symptoms of a attack by the time this was over. We are here in India to lecture at several universities. We're monks for 40-years and can find happiness and value in any situation. In the sake of fair play for the faults of KLM and Jet can you upgrade us to First or Business classed on the way back. Thank you.

Hare Krsna!!!

AgtSP...   Paoho....   It is 2.36AM in room 303 of the ISKCON Kolkata Guest House.  Fan is grinding out a torturous noise, the only place to charge the cell phone and this computer is an outlet high-up on the bathroom wall, above the toilet.

Strange!

Improvisational Theater.  Next lifetime we will be in Goloka???   Maybe Gokula...   ... ... Pune, Navi-mumbai, were all very successful. We met with Prof. Joe Periera who created and manages the Kripa Foundation. They help people with AIDS and chemical dependency etc. He runs one of the three Jungian Centers in India. He also was awarded the Padma Sri in like 2009.

Our vision is going pretty fast.

Respiration is not deep. We learned a LOT from joining a Sub-Mumbai Rathayatra: You CAN chant and dance from your soul. It doesn't have to be super intense, but nice, for Krsna. We applied this in chanting our Japa on the airplane. If you can chant and dance for four hours in front of Jagannatha, then certainly you chant chant and dance for two hours while sitting  on the airplane. It worked. We had to chant slower but it was deep. Like internal Kirtan.  [infernal kirtan]

Can't hear much at all on the airplane. Injun Roars!    Gotta cover your ears to chant.

This is the last week of this India Tour. Still no news from Delta. Guess we take the Pathway Through the Valley of Death (Economy Seating Alone) on the way back.

Haw!   Haw!   Hare!

The Big Brown Bear would wash his hair in creek spanked water Sunday.
So bedecked he would say, "What the Heck!" and go to the Temple quite Dunday.

"Hurray Krsna!   Hurray Rama!"

 Always hear Nama Radha-Shyama!

[Battery 50%] Back to the toilet to recharge... =]]]but no, or maybe one, mosquitos. not hot. fresh water. private cave. TPP Composition Book on page 67. ]]]-

ASA-Perú little urgent

Hare Krishna, dear Gurumaharaja. Pamho. AGTSP!

I'm looking forward to have your assotiation again by ASA FMP. Now, I'm doing it myself and some days in the temple.

I've have a nice conversation with Karuna Krishna Prabhu about education and we agreed to work together as ASA under your protection and blessings. I'm nobody, practically nothing, without your protection.

I'm presenting myself as a member of ASA-Perú and I'm thinking of join people together in a conglomerate as ASA-Perú with a broad perspective, no attachements or administration bandages for now. In time, I think, people that really want to work together can get together in a more formal team. I still have the desire to have a formal institution in peruvian educative system. I have to be a little patient cause experience tells me that the most difficult part is to create a team. I've been in several that couldn't become something lasting.

As M. Yugala suggested and talking to Karuna Krishna Prabhu, seems that Maturesh Prabhu is a nice option for Bhakti sastri examiner. I think that if we create a team around him we can work well. Again, it should be as ISKCON-Perú.

I hope your sankirtan is going well, and please, your blessing for mine.

Thank you for being always there for me when I need you. I want to be a help for you not a burden.

Trying to be a decent disciple,

Laksmana-agraja

HPS - ASA -- Hare Krsna!   AGTSP.   paoho.   It is very nice to hear from you. We went out early to talk with one Diocean Catholic Priest. He has the Kripa Foundation. It is the biggest NGO in India with 169 branches. They counsel and very much help people with chemical addiction and aids. He is head of one of the three Jungian groups in India and it turns out he is friends with Radha-natha Swami. We will work with his organization. Then we changed some small Rupee notes into big Rupee notes and visited a professor of Harsh's at the IIT Bombay Campus. One of the top three institutions in the country. He also appreciated Solaris very much and is very doing work in objective scientific verification of yoga. He likes Srila Prabhupada's books.  Home through rush hour like Lima traffic. It is 35 degrees Celcius here in February.

We are really 70-years old. Can die of heart failure anytime, but in general O.K.

Go ahead with your own Sankirtan relationship with Srila Prabhupada with the perspective of your friends in ISKCON and the ISKCON institution, GBC et al. We may be able to see Jayapataka Swami in Mayapura.
