After returning from Rama Navami last friday we watched youtube's Sita sings the blues, a modern rendition of the Ramayana. Are you familiar with that? Nice art, and culturally funny too.

A while ago i learned about the Vatican movie list and watched several of them, including Carl Dreyer's 1928 The passion of Joanne of Arc. I don't know how you feel about that, i found it very heavy to watch. There is a version on Vimeo with classical score, it's so dramatic.

Our final conclusion is that it is like watching a Tamasic or Rajarsic Purana.  Many things very nice but also a lot of stuff that makes you feel bad afterwards also.
