This is Deva-Vrata das writing to you from Córdoba, Argentina.

I hope your health is improving after the strong Ayurvedic treatment 🙏

HpS - Not a lot of improvement, but a lot of possibility for improvement.

Gurudev, as you know, for about 10 years I have embraced (agtSP, agtHpS) the service of distributing His Divine Grace's books as my own.

This gave me a driving force in my life, a mission, and also a means of support for my body... agtSP agtBBT

However, I feel that (even though, all things considered, I'm doing well—in this wonderful but difficult task of being on the street, talking to people, in Kali Yuga, with cell phones, distractions, atheism, etc., etc., etc.) I still don't feel in my heart this wonderful, intimate, and esoteric activity as an act of compassion for people...

You always say: "Distribute the books with a smile," "Give people a smile."

I understand, between the lines, from what you always express, that the mission of a bookseller is also (and above all) to CHANGE THEIR HEART and become loving, empathetic, compassionate, and free from anger and envy toward all people.

In this sense, I'm definitely not succeeding... I hardly ever smile, sometimes I get angry with people, and I feel a certain anger when I see people so disconnected or when they reject me.

Sometimes, I think I'm transferring my personal bitterness and frustration to the SACRED service of distributing books...

What other advice could you give me? I can smile artificially, or be forcedly polite... but how long can that last? (I try anyway!!)

Thank you, Gurudev!!

Give me your blessings, so that (one way or another), I may always be engaged in this wonderful service of distributing the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda!

HpS/ASA - We, agtSP, cannot give too much detailed advice. Certainly we advise you to improve your Mangala arati, full morning program.

That is why we are camping more in Houston than Nashville now.

Yet, both places are essential.

Ourselves, we do the Sankirtan that we can do.

We very, very much depend on Krsna as our Sankirtan partner. Srila Prabhupada. We are very happy for the association of others, but we don't demand that they be completely sane or perfect.

We expect that from Krsna and Prabhupada.

Of course They may be completely mad or imperfect. They are allowed what ever perfections they want.

It is They who are doing the Sankirtan. We are helping.

Do the type of Sankirtan you can.

Srila Prabhupada had a lifetime in preparation. In New York he was often wandering with no engagement.

Yet, there is always some result, no?

That's enough.
