HpS/ASA - AgtSP!!
Greetings and Salutations, Maharaja!
please accept my humble obeisances...
A reflection of my practice to you, had sent a note to our
"WhatsApp" group for you, and I appreciate the quick response. Looking
back, I am not sure if I was committing a Vaisnava apardha.
ASA - We don't think so??!
My sincerity was there, reciting the "Radhe-Govinda" mantra I learned from the late "Jaya Okay” when he was the Temple President in NJP (Berkeley). The devotees seemed to enjoy the
effort, and I love the mantra, as its cadence rolls into the Maha-Mantra so
nicely. Always remember Jaya's kindness.
Recalling, you once mentioned that calling
Radhani's name is not to be done vicariously, and we are not so qualified;
remember, She is never without Lord Krishna. With Govinda in my voice, I sang
as best as I could, yet, I agreed ...I am not so qualified.
HpS - As far as we understand Srila Prabhupada did not like us to chant "Radhe Radhe" like the Vrajavasis. They are very special people.
Other songs are also questionable, such as
"Gaura-Nityananda Bol." This was one of Vishnujnan Swami's Sankirtan
numbers, and some discretion was called for. I am not sure of the details. I
did rediscover it and wrote it out. Since I'm no expert, I thought I'd send you
a copy for your reference.
All in all, the Harinam's are my only chance for gaining
some rhythm in Bhakti Yoga, for my timing is limited already, so I hope I may
continue.
ASA - FOREVER!
We are hoping to see you in Tennessee as soon as possible,
appreciate your most valuable time!
Sincerely,
caitanya caritamrta das, das anu das.
ASA - We have been thinking of visiting you all, Brahma-tirtha Das, Sacimata devi dasi et al in Florida, yet it would require special mercy of God!
Maybe you all can visit Nila-madhava..
Harinama Sankirtan and leafletting? Cookies, banana chips, in packets with labels?
