I hope you are in very good health. I want to thank you for allowing us to serve you during your stay in Lima and I ask you to please forgive any offense or clumsiness on our part.

I want to apologize for so shamelessly taking such fantastic service from you and everyone while in Peru.

For the past couple of months, Indira Sakti dd and I have been participating in the Saturday programs at the preaching center in Miraflores. We have decided to collaborate with the devotees' efforts to support Srila Prabhupada's mission, understanding that this should be our path, regardless of any perceptions we may have had in the past.

HpS - "As long as you think you are the servant in any situation, material or spiritual, the more you wil become happy. The more you think you are the master, the more you will go to hell," Srila Prabhupada to Bhakta Das, our first temple president, upon occasion of his initiation!

I was asked to give a Sad-acara course, which I taught to about 14 devotees, mostly bhaktas who are drawn to the glories of kirtan. The course turned out better than I expected. We were able to approach it from the perspective of sattva guna and madhyama-adhikari, understanding that interactions among devotees don't depend solely on a rigid set of rules, but above all, on appreciation for the members of the community. We based it on Bhakti Caru Swami's manual and the Upadesamrta.

In a few weeks, I will begin teaching a course on basic home worship, specifically for younger devotees who want to learn some details to improve their service. I ask for your blessings, Gurudeva, so that I may transmit to these young people the feelings that my wife and I have developed for our beloved deities. Caring for devotees at this level is something we can contribute to, and we are content with that, as long as it is Lord Jagannatha's will.

Finally, I would like to ask if you would permit us to worship Salagram Sila. There is a possibility that we might be entrusted with His service, but that would be impossible without your blessing. My wife and I have been worshipping deities for some time and are content with our principles. We await your reply, Gurumaharaja.

HpS - I don't think there is any harm is keeping Them clean and comfortable, but real worship is very challenging. How are your Gayatri sandhyas?

I think Jayananda Das worshipped Japa beads. 108-silas!
