Dear Guru Maharaja,
All glories to His Divine Grace Śrīla Prabhupāda!
Please accept my humble obeisances.
Thank you for your guidance on the confidential nature of Bhagavad-gītā and giving it (Him - Krishna) to the world.
In my conversations with people who, at the moment, are not conscious that they are Krishna bhaktas, I try to speak without giving the impression that I “know more” than others. When a discussion naturally touches on spiritual or sattvic topics, and I sense genuine interest—especially through questions—I share sincerely and fully. It seems a small way to help open hearts in the mood of bhakti.
Any advice on keeping this balance—sharing knowledge while respecting receptivity—would be deeply appreciated. I remember many moons ago, you said that preaching means 80% hearing - who are the people, what are their interests, etc.
HpS/ASA - What comes to your mind is that listening to people with your ears, mind and heart is the essence of preaching to us.
Hear them properly and then you will respond properly automaticament if you are pure from Full Morning Program, three Gayatris sandhyas etc.
Then there are some people who want to know
that you know more than them.
Otherwise, why talk to you.
Of course, one of the first things that we should know more than others
is that we are their servants
and that is one of the first things that they should experience that we know. Seems you know this, no?
Your servant,
Namacarya Dās
