Pregunta sobre depresión.

1 week, 5 days ago by Yulisa Yugala in Personal Sadhana Reports

Hello, dear Guru Maharaja, reporting here,

HpS/ASA - Jaya!! AgtSP. Paoho.

I returned very happily from a pious little town in Murcia. I stayed with a devoted friend of Prabhu Karuna. She often comes to NVM as a volunteer.

She separated from her husband and hasn't recovered.

It's common to encounter depressed people.

Many people turn to Krishna out of fear of poverty, affliction, etc. That's why I wanted to know your recommendations,

how we can help these people,

how they can overcome these dualities.

Most of us suffer from material conditioning. Everyone wants something, needs something, some are crazier than others, frustrated. All of this causes them to neglect their spiritual practices, diminishes their faith, and many fall into inaction.

I'm sending you some photos as a report of my service at NVM. And some from the event.

Very few people,

there was a lack of effective publicity,

and some thought I was coming from India.

Remembering His spirit, I thought that even if there were only one person, I would make the same effort as if there were 100. It was a wonderful experience.

Thanks to your blessings and Krishna's blessing, although we are at zero, without a plan in place, I hope to soon have a report with you with which I hope to contribute to Lord Caitanya's sankirtan movement in Spain.

Your humble servant,

Yugala Kisora Dasi (The White Lion of Brihuega)

HpS - AgtSP. We cannot say much about depression. I guess the best Sanskrit word is Shoka. Lamentation. That is described as Arjuna's state at the start of the Bhagavad Gita, through out the Gita, and in the end Krsna says, surrender unto me and you will not Shocati. Lament.

Brahma bhuta prsanatma...

I see, many times, my mind is falling into lamentation, because my stomach is upset. Of course, it could also be our even lower chakra.

Then, if I give my stomach some Prasadam, it is "happy".

Not enough rest.

Checking with our face to see if it is "smiling, happy" or "frowning, depressed".

Just a bodily reaction. Of course a spouse can be viewed as a complex physical, psycho-social machine for complex bodily gratification.

Hare Krsna!!!

HARE KRSNA!!!!!!!

If we want to lament, develop complicated systems of lamentation:

  • He said this. They said that.
  • He doesn't understand me.
  • I am a monster.
  • No one can love me.
  • I will smoke opium, tobacco, marijuana... shoe-polish and die. Sleep.

Then Krsna can't do much to stop us. We want enjoy elation, we want to enjoy depression.

Yet, Krsna is more kind than just, so even if we want to be depressed, then He still tries to tickle our funny bone...

Make us laugh.

Send a friend.

Send some courage.

You don't have to chose to be a victim.

Look at any depressing situation with a service attitude and then you can develop enthusiasm.

Eg. My boss is a moron, neurotic. Always verbally abusing me and others.

How can I help him?

What abuse is really deserved and good for me!

What abuse is just part of his insane view of reality based upon his childhood.

How can I listen to what he is saying and help him with his problem?

At least a little bit, today!

If we help from a Krsna conscious platform (BG 700 verses [Just see what a sunny day it it]) SB 18,000 verses... Devahuti's Laments, then every little bit of help will eternally build up.

Not all lamentation is material.

Radha and Her friends are drowning in the ocean of grief because Candravali and Her friends made better cookies for Krsna and the cow herd boys!

Ayi de mi, caramaba. Boo Hoo Hoo! 🐶 😿

(15 year, 8 year old little girls!)

Prahlada is lamenting for all the imbeciles caught in the material world.

Lament for our fall-downs but just for purification. Don't make a mountain out of it. Do something practical to get back up.

So, these are some thoughts.

  • Listen to the lamentation. 🙉
  • Give Krsna practical conscious comments, encouragement. 👷
  • Set a good example.

O.K.???
