Dear Maharaja Hanumat Presaka Swami,

Pamho, AGtSP!

As requested, the short review of “Acara O Acarya,” a book by Sri Cakravarti, translated by Bhumipati Dasa, completed earlier this year in time for Maharaja Bhaktisiddhanta Swami’s 150th anniversary, a perfect time to reflect.

This subtle, enlivening book contains 30 questions on the Science and Art of Bhakti Yoga, applied with bonafide Vaishnavas, three actual Goswamis, and a couple of advisors, who separately correspond and comment on all of the queries. It is quite a voracious dialogue humbly submitted with Sastric references.

The questions are designed to eradicate misconceptions among devotees and posers. They reveal minute faults hidden in flowery words and popular misbeliefs and reinforce proper practices. All in all, the book shares the accomplishments of empathy versus strict sadhana practices, creating some forethought for advanced devotees and piquing the minds of neophyte devotees for aspiration.

The mood of gracious critique is not always quickly comprehended, so it is a volume that more mature devotees will appreciate and sincere, competent theists may also absorb.

Knowledge is power, and understanding it is perfection.

Thank you for your valuable time.
