Personal Sadhana Report

Hare Krsna, Guruji Maharaja, Dandavat Pranam!

All Glaries to Sri Krsna, Sri Gouranga Mahaprabhu and Goura Bhakta Brinda.

Please accept my humble obeisances unto the padmacharan of Guruji Maharajah that in relation to my previous letters, as Guruji enquire and some more bhaktas wanted to know further “why Sri Krsna send Uddava to Vrndavana”. Guruji You know thousands times better than me, but as a service I am just mentioning the references with slokas nos.

The reason for sending Uddava to Vrndavana is described clearly in the sloka 10.46.1 Bhagavatam : As a direct disciple of Brhaspati, Sri Uddava is described in this verse as “buddi-sattanah the most intelligent”. Then, upon his return to Mathura Uddava would describe to all the members of the Vrsni dynasty the extraordinary pure love he had seen in Vrndavana. CC Antya 7.47 : Observing the unalloyed devotion and love of the Gopis for Krsna, Uddava desired to become a creeper, a blade of grass or a herb in Vrndavana so that sometimes the gopis would trample him and he would received the dust of their lotus fees on his head. Again in 10.47.59 Bhagavatam Realisation of Radha’s and Gopis’ pure love of Krsna. In 10.47.63 Bhagavatam Sri Uddava, having established the glories of the gopis in the previous verse, now directly offers his obeisances to them. Again in 10.47.66 Bhagavatam May our mental functions always take shelter of Krsna’s lotus feet, may our bodies always bow down to Him and serve Him.

The residents of Vrndavana were firmly convinced that even if they could not have direct association with their beloved Krsna, they would never be indifferent to Him. They were all topmost devotees of Lord Krsna. Uddava described to Lord Krsna the immense devotion of the residents of Braja.

In many ancient, local Manipuri religious books described the level of Radharani’s love to Krsna as the topmost. Without the blessings of Her, no one could get the mercy of Krsna. Happiness lies in Separation. Distress is likening by all mothers and Gopis. At the time of delivery, every women feel pains but for their child but every women wanted to bear the pains, likewise gopis field pains for separation of Krsna but by remembering the past events they are spending all their whole lives.

Yours fallen servant,

Yamunesvara Das

HpS - Yes, that is correct as best we know. He could take the post of Guru and let Them develop the post of servants of Krsna. All the Brijabasis wanted to enter the water of the Yamuna and save Krsna from Kaliya, but they would die. Lord Balarama sacrifices His ecstacy of relating to Krsna as a child and keep his awareness as Guru that Krsna is in no danger and the Brajabasis should not give up their lives trying to save Him.

Krsna.

Guru.

Bhakta.

All have their work to do.

Uddhaca adopted the position, service, to the Gopis so that they could have a steady source of Kirtanam for their Lila-smarnam, no?
