All glories to Srila Prabhupada !!!!

As you are already aware, Prabhu Gandharva has been accepted by the National Board of Peru as representative of the Ministry of Education of ISKCON

Therefore, Myself, as the Director of Education of the Peruvian Yatra, had some meetings with him, developing projects and ideas for implement and improve spiritual and academic education in the temples of ISKCON Peru.

We had three meetings in Chosica. In the first meeting,(only us) we talked about three points:

a) To develop a school of Brahmanas in the facilities of the Chosica Temple. This project I presented at a meeting of educators where you were present, in Lima, 2 years ago and I also presented it to the National Board. Everyone agreed with this idea. The school of Brahmanas is an ambitious project, so we have to be realistic and start it in stages. The inspiration to build this school is to follow the study models of the Radhadesh College, with Vaisnava theology courses, Vedic philosophy, etc etc and we will also take as a model the Mayapur Brahmanas school that forms Pujaris and priests trained in the worship of the Deity. Soon we will be meeting to work on the courses and curricula of this school.

b) Work with the MOE, making contact with its managers, to meet all the requirements that ISKCON requires to follow the official courses for first and second initiation

C) To develop an ecological project in the garden of our property, fostering dialogues and conversations about spiritual ecology

We also had a second meeting with mother Yugala Kishori. We three, my person, Prabhu Gandharva and mother Yugala, formed the educational committee of the Temple of ISKCON Chosica  2 years ago and since then we have met periodically, talking about many ideas and work plans. Mother Yugala is a good devotee and always collaborates, but occasionally travels and is absent. She also plans to travel to India, but always collaborates with Education at ISKCON Chosica. In that meeting we talked about several important technical aspects about the requirements that the MOE requires to follow and give the official courses, both in Chosica and in the Wilson Temple. Mother Yugala has volunteered as a teacher of Bhakti Shastri in Chosica for devotees. The idea is that we think it better for the teachers of Bhakti Shastri courses to teach these courses to devotees of their own kind, Prabhus to Prabhus and mothers to mothers. This is not a strict rule, but complaints have been heard from some devotees who use the courses as a pretext to make their students fall in love and that is not correct.

We also had a third meeting with Prabhu Lakshmana Agraja. Our intention, both of Prabhu Gandharva and mine, is to work in harmony with Prabhu Lakshmana, but he must agree to work in coordination with us. The courses can not be given by independent educators who do not report their results or explain their work methodology to the authorities. Prabhu Lakshmana is of an independent nature and we have not yet managed to agree, but we will continue to meet with him.

A pending issue that has been discussed is the need to meet with the other educators of the Peruvian Yatra, Prabhu Jiva Shakti, mother Ishvari, mother Candramukhi, Prabhu Jagat Pavitram, etc., etc. We agree that this meeting is important, but here we must point out the following, so as not to cause confusion; There is no such thing in the Peruvian Yatra as a "Zar" in Education, Prabhu Gandhrava as representative of the MOE will act as a link between that ministry and the Peruvian Yatra. My person, in my capacity as Director of the Ministry of Education, I am only the coordinator of the requirements demanded by the MOE, etc., with the authorities of the Temples and before the National Board, who is finally the one who decides and approves the policies be implemented in the educational area. All meetings with educators from other temples such as Wilson's will be meetings to listen to suggestions and ideas, but the final decisions on these issues will be made by the temple authorities.

Finally, an idea that we have discussed, is to form in Chosica a special committee to coordinate your activities when you give us the blessing of being with us. That committee would be formed by myself, Prabhu Gandharva, Prabhu Abhiram and Prabhu Uddhava. Of course, we are at your disposal and we always ask for your blessing and instructions on all this.

Thank you for having the patience to read all this.

Your Servant and admirer

Karuna Krishna das

HpS - Thank you, Prabhu. Your efforts are like a breath of air for us drowning people. We have been slow in answering because of these 12-hour a day meetings with the Ministry of Education, traveling and preaching in Indian universities etc. Hard but effective. Such good results to offer to Peru Yatra et al.

All of your ideas seem fine to us.

We will distribute this letter. Please send letters to Blog. It is so much more efficient.
