the fight for chanting

hare krsna maharaj,

PAMHO, AGTSP

I am trying to be regular in my chanting, though the fight is tough and many times feels like everyday i am fighting a war against the anti-forces.

I have a doubt that whenever I sit down for chanting..within a few minutes I feel very very sleepy such that as soon as 1-2 rounds are over, i have to sleep for half an hour before i can continue with chanting. why does this happen?? Is there any solution?

HpS - ASA -  Jaya.  AgtSP     Here it is 6.45PM in Radhadesa. We are working very hard with these Bhakti vedanta College courses. We have to prepare good class for three hours to four hours everyday with good content. We struggle to adapt to the diet here, but still we nap longer than we feel is necessary.

O.K.    learn what the body actually requires for diet, rest. It is not a machine made of crystal.   It is a lump of ignorance, but we can make the best use of a bad bargain.

So, do the best you can.

Try different techniques.

Chant four rounds, read Caitanya caritamrta, write a letter...

Repeat the process.

This variety may help!!!

Please tell us the results of your efforts. Together we are becoming strong and expert yogis for Krsna!!!!

O.K.  We take a little hot milk and chant some more rounds and evening arati and class (ALWAYS) and then we can work a little on Dr. Samaresha's book and our BVC class for tommorrow!
